Nicolas Anelka is a French international footballer who currently features for Premier League giants Chelsea. He plays as a striker and is regarded as one of the lethal center forward in the world.
Nicolas Anelka started his football career at French giants Paris Saint-Germain in 1995 and played for two seasons to the side of Paris. On February 1997, he was signed by Arsenal for a transfer fee of 500,000 pounds. He was a great success for the Gunners right from the start when he scored 23 goals in 65 league appearances in two seasons.
In the summer of 1999 the Spanish and European giants Real Madrid get him 22.3 million pounds, but he soon fell out with club and supporters as a suspicious temperament makes it popular. He made just 19 league appearances and scored two goals in two seasons in the Spanish capital and moved to PSG for 20 million pounds and six months after a loan spell with Liverpool in the second half of the 2001-2002 season, he still switch to Manchester City.
He played for them until January 2005 when he moved to Turkish giants Fenerbahce for 7 million pounds after one season and returned to the Premiership with Bolton Wanderers and scored 21 goals in 53 league appearances and moved to Chelsea Premier League powerhouse in January 2008 during 15 million pounds. He played in the 2008 AFC Champions League against Manchester United and missed the penalty saved by determining the Man United's Edwin van der Sar custodian.
Nicolas Anelka made his international debut for France in April 1998 being held to a goalless draw with Sweden and made more than 50 games for his country.
