Carlos Alberto Tévez (born Carlos Alberto Martínez, born in Ciudadela, Buenos Aires, Argentina, February 5, 1984, age 28 years) is an Argentine footballer who plays as a striker for Manchester City in the Premier League and national team of Argentina.

Tévez began his career as a junior player in the All Boys and Boca Juniors. He also played for Boca Juniors, Corinthians, West Ham United and Manchester United FC before joining Manchester City. Tévez has three times been named South American Player of the Year (2003, 2004, 2005). He and Dimitar Berbatov to be Premier League top scorer 2010-11 season with a notch 20 goals. Tévez a gold medal while playing for Argentina U23 national team at the 2004 Athens Olympics. He has strengthened the Argentine senior national team since 2004.

Tévez was born with the name Carlos Alberto Martínez. Parents to change his last name, which is the name of his mother, when there is conflict between All Boys and Boca Juniors. It is often also called Carlitos. Tévez has a burn scar that extends from the right ear to his chest, which is achieved by boiling the water splashed by accident while still a child. He rejected the offer to get rid of these scars with plastic surgery by the Boca Junior.
