Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley (born July 21, 1978) is a Jamaican reggae artist Yang has won three Grammy awards. Damian is the youngest child of Bob Marley language.

Damian Marley is the youngest son of reggae legend Bob Marley. Damian's nickname Junior Gong is derived from his father's nickname of Tuff Gong.
A talented artist in his own right, Damian has been doing since age 13. Special music was "toast", Jamaican style "rap" that some people consider the predecessor of modern hip-hop. Damian has many records, including the highest placed reggae album in the U.S. Billboard album charts with Welcome To Jamrock,
and the highest place reggae song in the UK Top 40 with PlayWelcome to Jamrock.
Like his father before him and the entire Marley family, he was a Rastafarian and his music reflects the beliefs and principles of Rastafari one love, one planet and freedom for all.

Marley describes his music as "dancehall and reggae that I noticed .... People who try to separate them both," he continued. "This culture of Jamaica in general I do not try to classify or separate.
At age 13, he formed a band with the name of Shephards, including the daughter of Freddie McGregor and Cat Core of Third World children. The group is open festival Reggae Sunsplash 1992. This band broke up in early 1990 and Damian started his solo career.
With support, Falun label Tuff his father, he released his 1996 debut album Mr. Marley was the surprise of many people who are not accustomed to hearing Marley singing rather than deejaying. Brother Damian, Stephen Marley, is a producer and co-author for this album.
His second album, Halfway Tree was released in 2001. Halfway Tree cover describes him standing under a tree at the middle of the road. This is a manifestation of the social parents of different origin with this mother and father from the city center from the ghetto. In Kingston, Jamaica Halfway Tree is used as a point half-shade for farmers and vendors who will pass through the trees on their routes to transport their goods to market downtown. This brought him much acclaim, is left on top of the Billboard reggae album chart for 158 weeks, and won the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album.
His third album, Welcome to Jamrock was released in September 2005, after a very successful song of the same name. Lyrics for the single "Welcome to Jamrock", made during Riddim produced by Sly and Robbie for INI Kamoze about 20 years earlier, centered around poverty, politics and crime in Jamaica. While the single was controversial at home over the perceived negative point of view of the island, many praised the content of the song. Dr Clinton Hutton, a professor at the University of the West Indies, said of the single, "using" Jamrock "icon of the city, alienation, despair, prejudice, but of hope, the identity of Jamaica, to remind us of frustrated fire, the fire of creativity, a fire warning for open our eyes and look within to live our lives. And there are still some of us do not want to hear and see and say enough is enough. The single reached # 13 on UK Singles Chart [11] and # 55 on U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart This . also # 100 on the Top 100 Songs of the Decade by the Rolling Stone list.
At the 2006 Grammy Awards, he won Best Reggae Album and Best Performance Urban / Alternative Welcome to Jamrock. He is the only Jamaican reggae artist in history to win two Grammy Awards the same night. He also only reggae artist to win in the category Urban / Alternative Performance at the Grammy Awards Best. The album sold 86 000 copies in its first week of release, and eventually certified gold after selling 500,000 copies in the United States. Other notable singles from the album include "The Master Has Come Back", "Road to Zion" featuring Nas, and "Khaki suit" featuring Bounty Killer and-Mouse-eek.
On May 17, 2010, Marley released Far Relatives, a collaboration album with Nas. The album title refers not only to the bond between the artist, but a connection to their African ancestry, which inspired the album both music and lyrics [15]. They have previously collaborated on "Road to Zion", about Marley Welcome to Jamrock album. This album combines two different flavors of music with dub-rock aesthetic Marley and Nas flow. Damian and Stephen make a lot of albums. The results of this album will go to build schools in the Congo.
In a 2011 interview on Tim Westwood, Damian said he began working on a new album. His single street, was released in Jamaica titled Just Is not The Same. He also joined superheavy music project with Joss Stone Mick Jagger, Dave Stewart and AR Rahman. Their debut single "Miracle Worker" was released on June 6, 2011 with the album scheduled for release in 2011 September. Damian also worked with artists on the electronic Skrillex song called "Rude Boy Bass" the same year.
