Gerard James Butler, or who used to be called Gerry Butler or Gerald Butler (born in Glasgow, Scotland, 13 November 1969; age 42 years) is a Scottish actor.


Gerard James Butler, or who used to be called Gerry Butler or Gerald Butler was born in Glasgow, Scotland on November 13, 1969. This Scottish actor had studied law at Glasgow University Law School before finally interested to pursue a career in acting.

Career

Gerard had the opportunity to prove his acting skills in a stage play entitled Coriolanus. From here, Gerard and then began to explore the path to the big screen movie MRS. BROWN in 1997. In the same year Gerard also acquired a small role in James Bond film TOMORROW NEVER DIES entitled.

Gerard Butler became known internationally when he gets the role as Terry Sheridan in the movie Tomb Raider: The Cradle of LIFE in 2003. Two years later, Gerard got the role as King Leonidas in the film 300.
