Raja Ravi Varma |
Raja Ravi Varma (born 29 April 1848 - died October 2, 1906 at age 58 years) is a painter of Travancore India recognized for the depiction of scenes in the epic Mahabharata and Ramayana. His paintings are considered one of the best examples of Indian traditions blend with European academic art techniques. He is known for his paintings of women dressed in saris, which depicted beautiful and graceful.
