The History of Acer (company)
Acer is a brand of the world's top five personal computer. Acer products include desktops, notebooks, servers, data storage, display, peripherals, and e-business solutions for business, government, education and personal users.
First established under the name Multitech, founded in 1976, which was later renamed Acer in 1987. Pan Acer Group employs 39 000 people in over 100 countries. Earnings in 2002 were U.S. $ 12.9 billion. Its headquarters is located in Sijhih City, Taipei County, Taiwan.
Acer's market in North America have declined in recent years while the European market continues to rise. His success in Europe partly because of sponsorship of Formula 1 Ferrari team and former F1 team, Prost Grand Prix.
