Marc Jacobs-United States Fashion Designer





Marc Jacobs (born 9 April 1963 in New York City) is an United States fashion designer. Marc Jacobs is the head designer for Marc Jacobs company, and Marc by Marc Jacobs. Jacobs is also the Creative Director of the French fashion house Louis Vuitton.
Jacobs attended the High School of Art and Design in New York City and graduated in 1981.


At the age of fifteen, Jacobs worked at Charivari, a clothing boutique in New York City. Jacobs then went on to study at Parsons School of Design, New York City. At Parsons, Jacobs won the Perry Ellis Gold Thimble Award in 1984, and the Chester Weinberg Gold Thimble Award and the Design Student of the Year Award
