Tula Paulinea "Tulisa" Contostavlos (born July 13, 1988), commonly known as mononymously the literature, is a British singer-songwriter and actress. He was famous for being a member of the Camden-based hip hop now defunct group N-Dubz, with his cousin Dappy and Fazer their friends formed in 2000 and jointly released three studio albums before announcing their hiatus in 2011. Contostavlos as a judge on X Factor and guided by the "Group" category in its first year including Little Mix, the first group to win the competition to date.

Contostavlos will release his debut solo album in the summer of 2012. On March 16, 2012 during a dispute with his cousin and Contostavlos Twitter bandmate Dappy N-Dubz announce that fact has been split up and do not take breaks as stated in the year 2011.

Life and career

Childhood and early career
Contostavlos was born in Camden Town, North London, to Irish mother, Anne Byrne (who, with three sisters, is a member of the Jeep Band in the 1980s) and Greek Cypriot father, Steve Contostavlos (part of Mungo Jerry). When the literature was five, his mother, who has bipolar disorder and schizoaffective disorder, was cut under the Mental Health Act.Contostavlos fathers' leave the family home when the literature was 14 years old. He said that he grew up in a 3 bedroom house and have a lot as a teenager: violence, depression, drug abuse, alcohol abuse, anorexia nervosa, mental health problems, financial difficulties and bullying.


At thirteen he was very emotional. He stated that he twice attempted suicide as a teenager and was also used to hurt themselves to try to help him cope with everything that he experienced. With the support of his uncle, former manager of N-Dubz, Byron Contostavlos, at the age of 14 he enrolled at Haverstock School, then attended Quintin Kynaston School in St John's Wood, but he did not sit his GCSE exams



Relationship

Beginning in 2008 and lasted for about 18 months, the date Contostavlos South London-based DJ / rapper, Justin Edwards also known as ultra-MC, which he also helped in developing her music career.

2000-11: N-Dubz and dissolution of the group


Dappy and Fazer, who had started rapping together, decided they wanted a female voice in the group, called the Crew Rinsers Lickle at the time, and Contostavlos invited to be part of the group. They began performing together as a group of about Camden from as young as twelve years. For N-Dubz's second album, he did a solo song called "Comfortable". Perform as Lickle Rinsers Crew, they released the singles "Bad Man Riddim" and "Long live the pain is getting worse by Day", which became hits on English pirate radio stations.


After Kru Rinsers Lickle, they then become NW1, after the area they come from, making their first music video in 2005 for the song "Every Day Of My Life", which screened on Channel U, recording more demos as NW1 such as "Don 't Feel Like Moving "," Girl On The Road "and" Livin Broke ". On August 6, 2008, it was announced that the group had left Polydor Records and had signed to All Around The World records. Label mainly specializes in dance music, but they occasionally released hip hop records like Ice Cube You Can Do It. The press release states that the label will be releasing "Ouch" as the group's first single on the label in September 2008. The group's first album, Uncle B, was released on 17 November 2008. The album included "You Better Not Waste My Time," "I Swear" "Feva Las Vegas", "Love for my Slums", "Ouch", "Defeat You" and "Papa Can You Hear Me?". "Strong," was touted as the third single to be released from the album Uncle B on February 16, 2009, and a music video was made, before the physical CD release of the song was canceled for reasons unknown. This song charted for five weeks on the UK Singles Chart, peaking highest at number 24. Group member Dappy was featured on the 2009 Band of the No. 1 single tentatively titled "Number 1", the video also features cameo appearances from members of all N-Dubz's.


Due to the success of their debut album, the group embarked on their first headlining tour, Uncle B Review. The tour was originally planned for 16 dates but due to high demand 5 extra dates were added. The tour is supported by Stevie Hoang and Band with N-Dubz who collaborated with on a "Number 1" is single. The tour sold out within a few days. During one performance, the literature passed out on stage. Several news sources reported that it was because of suspected swine flu. The song "Is not You" and then announced to be the seventh, and final single to be released from their debut album Uncle B. The song was released digitally on May 25, 2009 and peaked at No. 64 in the UK.


The lead single from her second album the group entitled "I Need You" was released on 9 November 2009 and charted at No. 5 on the UK Singles Chart. Against All Odds album, released on November 16, 2009, and charted at No. 6 on the UK Album Chart. The album went platinum in less than 2 months of release. The second single, "Play with Fire" features R & B / pop musician, Mr. Hudson. This song reached No. 15 on the UK album charts on downloads alone, but when the single was released, it fell to No. 16, reached a new peak at No 14 weeks after. The music video for the third single taken from the album, "Say It's Over", was released on March 5, 2010 on Channel AKA. Announced that the single will be released on 25 April, reaching No. 27 on his own album download before the single was released. In late 2009, N-Dubz announce that they will be touring their current album, Against All Odds in the spring of 2010, making their third tour in two years, commencing on March 31 and completed on 20 April. This includes 17 shows in support of action Skepta, Talay Riley and Ultra. On 1 April 2010, they released their first book, N-Dubz - Against All Odds: From Street Life to Live Chart, which they described as "an answer to the critics, there are a lot of bad press about N-Dubz at the moment and this will put the record straight about who we are and what we're about! Girls "The third album was released as a single on December 12, 2010. It peaked at 19 on the UK Singles Chart.

A song from their fourth album, "So Alive" was released as a single on February 6, 2011. Five singles were released from Love.Live.Life. The first, "We Dance On", previously released in May 2010 from the soundtrack StreetDance. On 1 September 2010, N-Dubz announced via Facebook that the first single from their new album will be "Best Behavior", which was finally released on October 17th. Life is a "Girls", "So Alive" and "Morning Star". Love. Of life. Life became the third platinum N-Dubz 'selling album. 2011-present: The X Factor and Young


On August 2011, revealed that N-Dubz has parted ways with Def Jam record label, which states that they "Never going to work with them when they decide to change what we are".
