Paul Gray - Slipknot Bass Player

Paul Gray is one of the founding members of Slipknot. The band formed in 1995 has experienced many personnel changes from year to year, but Gray was always there, ahead of singer Corey Taylor who joined in 1996. Paul Dedrick Gray who was born on April 8, 1972 in Des Moines, Iowa, United States it had been in several bands such as Anal Blast, Vexx, Body Pit, Inveigh Catharsi and one original member of slipknot along with Shawn Crahan and Anders Colsefini.



He also became the backing vocals in some songs like slipknot Spit It Out, Get This, People = Shit, Disasterpiece, Three Nil, Pulse of the Maggots, and Before I Forget. Prior to their original Slipknot The Pale Ones using current name and then PYG System and Meld. Until finally the name of Slipknot.



In the course of their several personnel changes, and the recent formation consists of Sid Wilson, Nathan "Joey" Jordison, Paul Gray, Chris Fehn, James Root, Craig '133 'Jones, Shawn' Clown 'Crahan, Mick Thomson and Corey Taylor. Slipknot's albums in between Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat (1996), Roadrunner Records Demo (1998), Slipknot (1999), Iowa (2001), Vol. 3 (The Subliminal Verses, 2004) and 4th Studio Album (2008).


Through the albums that won them a Grammy Award nominations for Best Metal Performance and Best Hard Rock Performance. Through the single from the album Iowa Left Behind (2001), they managed to get nominated for a Grammy in 2002. And in 2006, Slipknot won the Best Metal Performance through the song Before I Forget. Paul Gray died on Monday, May 24, 2010, precisely at the hotel where he stay.
