Period-The period before the Sum 41
Dave has long been influenced by flows typical Metal Metallica and Slayer to finally be released by the school because it could not be farther from the music. After being expelled from school, Dave was joined in the band 9 in Canada such as 747, ANDP, Anatomy embodiment, Doors of Draven, Fo You Mind, and another until finally joined together in Sum 41 Deryck Whibley and Steve Jocz who is his friend while in High School .
Professional career
Sum 41
Dave joined Sum 41 as the third member, after Deryck Whibley and Steve Jocz formed the band in the summer of 1996. As the lead guitarist in Sum 41, he prefers to use the guitar Paul Reed Smith Singlecut though occasionally he never used Gibson Les Pauls and Gibson X-Plorers Studio. For pedals, he uses MXR Effects and Dunlop Wah pedals. On Sum 41, he was dubbed the Pleasure Brownsound and also specifically used as a nickname in the band Pain For Pleasure, the band Metal side are all members of Sum 41. Favorite songs during the Sum 41 is a Machine Gun, Mr.Amsterdam, Pain For Pleasure, and The Bitter End.
The exit of Dave and Brown Brigade
On May 11, 2006, Dave decided to get out of Sum 41 and form a new band called Brown Brigade. Dave was no longer fit with the music Punk Sum 41 and need a challenge in his guitar playing. In Brown Brigade, Dave became the vocalist and guitarist with his cousin Vaughn who will play bass. On 18 September 2007, Dave and his band Brown Brigade is releasing his first studio album Into the Mouth of Badd (d) ness, in this debut album Brown Brigade has issued three successful singles, including cover songs Iron Maiden, Hallowed Be Thy Name. Pretty soon, Dave and his band will release an album keduannya, dialbum Dave said this, he would deduct the metal element and added a few new genres are like punk rock and funk.
Organ Thieves
Dave returned to his new band is Orahn Thieves, the flow of the music inspired by bands Rock Soul. Now he is busy preparing for her debut album and is scheduled to be released in 2010.
