Gary Cahill |
Cahill began his career as a college football player in the AFC Dronfield Derbyshire. He later joined Aston Villa football academy in 2000, to successfully penetrate the first team squad in 2005. Cahill had undergone lending contract with Burnley and Sheffield United in 2004 and 2007. In January 2008, he joined Bolton Wanderers.
Cahill strengthen the senior England team since September 2010 and scored his first goal in the month of September 2011.
Club career
Early career
Cahill began his career with AFC Dronfield, a Sunday League team in Derbyshire, until reaching the age of 15 years. "My friends played for local club AFC Dronfield, so I followed as well as playing as a central defender and defensive midfielder," Cahill said in an interview with the Manchester Evening News. In the early days of his career, he monitored a number of scouts from clubs such as Barnsley, Sheffield Wednesday, Derby County and Aston Villa. Cahill eventually chose to join Aston Villa football academy.
Aston Villa
Cahill had previously undergone loan contract for Burnley since November 2004 until the end of the 2004-05 season. He managed printing of simple first league goal against Stoke City and was awarded "Burnley's Player of the Year" and "Burnley's Young Player of the Year" (Best Player and Young Player Burnley Burnley Best).
He made his debut for Aston Villa team when it entered as a substitute when 0-5 defeat away to Arsenal on 1 April 2006.Pada 9 April 2006, Cahill made his debut play from the early minutes against West Bromwich Albion at Villa Park.Satu weeks later He scored his first league as a 3-1 victory over city rivals

On 19 September 2007, Cahill joined Sheffield United on a three-month loan contract. A few days after that, he made his debut as an away 2-3 defeat of Crystal Palace. Cahill scored one goal during play for Sheffield United's 1-0 away win over Stoke City on 10 November 2007. He re-joined Aston Villa in mid-December 2007.
Bolton Wanderers
Cahill joined Bolton Wanderers by signing a contract duration of three and a half years on January 30, 2008. He made his league debut as an away 2-0 win over Reading. Since then, Cahill became a public favorite player Reebok Stadium and was awarded "Best Newcomer" at the end of the season. In July 2008, he was given back number five shirt by manager Gary Megson at the time, which was previously worn by Abdoulaye Meite. On October 5, 2008, Cahill scored his first goal in a 3-1 away win at West Ham United.
In August 2009, 18 months after joining Bolton, Cahill signed a new three-year duration.
