The early years
Born as 夏令 正-Ling Zheng Xia (Hsia Ling-Jun) in Hong Kong, Yuen fifth child of six children. He studied at the China Drama Academy between the ages of five to sixteen years, and thereafter he developed his career in Hong Kong film industry.
Film career
The early 1970s
In the early 1970s, Yuen began working as a stuntman and a supporting role. After a role in the film berjudulFist of Fury, Way of the Dragon, Yuen became a stunt for the film Bruce Lee in Enter the Dragon, 1973. He also is one of the "imitation" of Bruce Lee in the film Game of Death (1978), perform various acrobatic movements and the stunt where Bruce Lee "body double" (Taekwondo expert, Tai Chung Kim) can not do it. Yuen continued to work as a stuntman, and also as an actor in the world of Hong Kong film industry.

Late 1970s and 1980s
