Antonio Cassano "The Jewel Of Old Bari"

Antonio Cassano (born July 12, 1982) is an Italian national soccer player who is currently defending team AC Milan. Her height is 175 cm. He was dubbed with the name Fantantonio (because of its role fantasista). He is the hero of AS Roma before sold to Real Madrid, because of the attitude indisiplinernya. Now, he plays in AC Milan, and there he was back wearing the number 99.



International career


Cassano senior team debut for Italy came in November 2003 against Poland, where he scored his first goal. He was part of the Italian squad for Euro 2004 UEFA as a backup, but after Totti was suspended following a spitting incident with Christian Poulsen in a group match against Denmark, Cassano inserted into the starting lineup for a 1-1 draw with Sweden in which he scored. He also netted a last-minute winner in a 2-1 victory over Bulgaria, but Italy were knocked out in the group stage on goal difference.


Cassano left over from the final list for the 2006 World Cup, but was called for two Euro 2008 qualifiers in September 2006. He was part of the final list and went without a goal in the tournament as Italy eliminated in the quarterfinals by Spain after a penalty shootout.


After an absence of two years from the Azzurri, and followed widespread criticism of the media against Marcello Lippi on his exclusion from the squad for World Cup 2010, Cassano received back into the Italian team on August 6, 2010 by new head coach Cesare Prandelli for the first match in charge of the team, friendly match against the Ivory Coast to be played on August 10 at Upton Park, London  Almost a month later, in Italy UEFA Euro 2012 qualifier in Estonia played Cassano scored the tie. in a 1-2 victory and move away also helps Leonardo Bonucci's second goal with a back heel. Cassano scored remotely from outside the box in the 5-0 UEFA Euro 2012 qualifier Italy win over the Faroe Islands. He scored again against Estonia to help Italy ensure a 3-0 victory.


Personal life

Cassano was engaged to water polo player, Marcialis Carolina, in 2008 and later married on June 19, 2010 at the church, the Chiesa di San Martino, in Portofino . Cassano's wife gave birth to the couple's first child, a son, named Christopher, he was born on March 14, 2011.
Reported that on October 30, 2011, Cassano complained of difficulty to speak or move when the team returned to Milan.


AC Milan announced and confirmed on 2 November 2011, Antonio Cassano who suffered ischemic brain damage based, although it should be temporary. Cassano underwent minor heart surgery soon after, he returned to action in Serie A on 25 April 2012 even scored on his return to the side of the fixture against Genoa.

During Euro 2012, Cassano declared its preference for there to be no gay players in the squad and using derogatory descriptors.
