Prof. Dr. Nurcholish Madjid more popularly as Cak Nur, was an Islamic thinker, scholar, and humanist Indonesia .. Cak Nur is a pioneer and thought reform movement in Indonesia. The idea of ​​pluralism has been placed as a leading Muslim intellectual in his time, especially at a time when Indonesia was mired in a slump and the threat of disintegration of the various nations.


Cak Nur known as the concept of pluralism that accommodates the diversity diversity's confidence in Indonesia. According Cak Nur, confidence is the primordial right of every human being and the confidence to believe the existence of God is a fundamental belief.
