David de Gea Life Story



David de Gea Quintana (born 7 November 1990, age 21 years) is a Spanish footballer who plays as a goalkeeper at the club Manchester United.


Career


Club

A product of Atlético Madrid football academy, De Gea spent his first professional season with the reserves, in the Segunda Division B. Sergio Asenjo choice when called to play in the national team, he got the first call to play in the senior team.


On 30 September 2009, he replaced the injured Roberto during the match against FC UEFA Champions League Porto, in a 2-0 defeat, when he was 19 years old yet.


Three days later, De Gea make his La Liga debut at home against Real Zaragoza; he caused the opponent to get a gift penalty in the 19th minute, but he managed to kick dismissed Marko Babic, which ended with a 2-1 victory. After several fatal errors committed by Asenjo, and manager Quique Sánchez Flores's presence, he ended the season as a starter - two earned Man Of The Match of the season, when dealing with Athletic Bilbao and Valencia CF. In addition, he appeared in eight UEFA Europa League matches, including during the final match against Fulham which ended with a 2-1 victory.


De Gea started the 2010-2011 season with a resounding, helped Atletico won the UEFA Super Cup: in the 90th minute of a 2-0 win against Inter Milan, he dismissed the penalty Diego Milito.

In 2011 he was part of the Spanish U-21 team that won the 2011 European Championship.
