Elizabeth Cady Stanton was one of the women's movement that emerged in the United States who actively fought for the women at the end of the 19th century. Stanton is the ideal that women can achieve a position of equality with men both in church and in society. Her goal is motivated by the concern in seeing that community, church and theology has always been owned by men.


Stanton published a paper entitled The Women's Bible.Isinya is Stanton interpretations of Bible verses related to women. For Elizabeth Stanton, the Bible can not be completely rejected and accepted his teachings can be understood differently by each person.


Further according to Stanton, women should wear his wits and not blindly accept the Bible verses that undermine its role as a woman. For example, in 1 Tim 2:14 mention of Eve being deceived, fell into dosa.Stanton encourage women to take part in theological education and leadership role in church and society. However, Stanton struggle for liberation is still limited to women who were white. Meanwhile, the liberation of black women still do not get attention.
