David Alaba (born June 24, 1992 in Vienna) is an Austrian international football player who plays for Bayern Munich. He has played many roles, including central midfield, right and left wing, but has grown in the spring of 2012 as a left back, Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes role has stated she saw Alaba continue to enter


Playing career


Club career

Alaba began his career with SV Aspern, a local club in Aspern, in district 22, Donaustadt, before joining the youth setup giants Austria Austria Vienna at the age of 10. He rose through the ranks quickly, and in April 2008 he was appointed to the bench first team substitutes' for the Bundesliga matches.

He also played five times for Austria Vienna's reserve team, before leaving in the summer of 2008 to join the German Bundesliga team Bayern Munich.


He started in Bayern's youth system, playing for the U-17 and U-19 team, before being promoted to the reserve team for the 2009-10 season.He made his debut in the third. League match against Dynamo Dresden in August 2009and his first professional goal for FC Bayern Munich II on August 29, 2009. He was named in the squad for Bayern Munich to Champions League 2009-10 UEFA, where he was assigned the number 27 shirt. In January 2010, announced that the Alaba will train with the team for the remainder of the 2009-10 season, along with the reserve team-mates Diego Contento and Mehmet Ekici.

In the Bayern first team under Louis van Gaal, he often played as a left back, as well as the usual midfield position left or center. On October 23, 2011, Alaba scored his first league goal for Bayern in a 1-2 away loss against Hannover 96. During the second half of the 2011-12 Bundesliga season, he established himself as a starter for Bayern.


At the age of just 19, Alaba votes wins prestigious Player of Austria of the Year in 2011. In a poll conducted by the APA (Austrian news agency) between the coaches of the ten Bundesliga club Austria, Alaba finished top with 21 points, just ahead of Austria Vienna Netherlands Nacer Barazite stars (20 points) and VfB Stuttgart Martin Harnik. On 25 April 2012 he played in the Champions League semi-final leg against Real Madrid second, where he was one of the players that secured victory for Bayern on penalties. Although he received a yellow card and will not show in the final in Munich, he was man of the match at the age of 19.


International career

Alaba has played for Austria in the lower-17 and U-21. In October 2009, he was called into the senior squad for the match against Austria France.He made his debut in this game, making it the youngest player in national team history.
