George Elton Mayo |
George Elton Mayo (born December 26, 1880 - died 7 September 1949 at age 68 years) is a psychologist, sociologist, and theorist organizations Australia-born. Mayo is known for his researches and his role in Hawthrone Studies.
He taught at the University of Queensland from 1919 to 1923, before moving to the University of Pennsylvania. He also taught at Harvard Business School in 1926-1947, where he became professor of industrial research (industrial research). On 18 April 1913, he married Dorothea McConel in Brisbane and have two daughters from her marriage.
